Generally a lighter style variety our 2007 Grenache was relatively concentrated in both flavour and colour producing vibrant wine with fresh berry scents, notes of black current and spicy notes. Given its unique qualities a small portion was held back and stored in closely monitored stainless steel to preserve its primary fruit and then re-released. This way we have done all of the hard work in cellaring the wine and you are able to enjoy a perfectly aged red right now.
TASTING NOTES: Exhibiting generous plum and dark cherry fruits with smoky chocolate overtones. It has a lovely rich texture to the palate which displays notes of licorice and spicy tannins, balanced by medium acidity producing an elegant and sophisticated wine.
SUGGESTED FOODS: A stunning match with eye-fillet steak or lamb cutlets served with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, or even slow-braised rabbit stew with colcannon mash.
